Why Live in Plovdiv

You will be in one of the largest economic centers in Bulgaria. Nearly 8 percent of the country’s gross domestic product is due to Plovdiv and the region, with nearly 300,000 people working in about 35,000 companies. The population of the city under the hills is only 330,000 people, but when we consider Plovdiv as an economic entity, it is important to note that it and the surrounding smaller towns and villages form a large Plovdiv agglomeration, which is home to 680,000 people. And the inhabitants of most of these settlements, located around Plovdiv, work, study, shop and attend cultural events in the city under the hills. Plovdiv International Airport is located about 20 km from the city, and 6 km north of it passes the monument of Bulgarian road infrastructure – “Trakia” highway. Around the city there is a well-developed system of first-class roads, as well as a railway network to almost all parts of the country.
